Edward Samuel Kuhrau

Here he is!!! We are so happy to announce that Baby Teddy has arrived safe and healthy!
We had a tough couple of days full of anticipation and action.

On Tuesday morning October 2nd my water broke. We were all so excited for Teddy to come. But, contractions never really came. We went to the hospital and they told us to go out to lunch and come back so they could help start labor. Long story short, we were sent away four times that day. It seems Labor and Delivery was really busy and I was at the bottom of the list. At 9 pm they finally just told us to go home. Feeling very tired and defeated, we agreed to return in the morning for some pitocin.

I recieved the pitocin at 10 am on Wednesday October 3rd and labor progressed as planned. At 1 pm I was getting an epideral and leaning on Clayton when he fainted and fell very hard on the hard wood floors of the hospital room. He was bleeding and was knocked out for a little bit. He was immediately rushed to the ER. It seems that he had suffered a bad cuncussion and was really out of it when he returned just in time to see Baby Teddy delivered.

With just a couple pushes we had a 6 lb 10 oz baby boy!

After Teddy came out Clayton needed to return to the ER where they told him that he must be under the careful watch of an adult who had not just given birth. He went home to sleep at his brother's house and Janiece (Clayton's mom) spent the night at the hospital with Teddy and I.
We are all home now and are doing very well. Clayton is still very out of it and doesn't remember any of Teddy's entry into this world. I hope that pictures and stories will help in the long run.

Teddy is beautiful and healthy. He is a great eater and seems to be very calm and sweet. His brothers and sister are so excited to have him home. They are so proud of him.

We can't wait to share our little guy with all of you! Thanks for all of your support and love throughout this eventful pregnancy and birth. We couldn't have done it without you!
